Hi! My name is Michelle Robinson. I am the proprietor of Clean Paws Mobile Grooming Salon and the Founder of Cause 4Paws Gary, INC. Thanks to the support and generosity of our supporters in 2016 we were able to obtain our 501(c)3) status. After four years of searching & planning, we have our eyes on a site in Gary. We are waiting for the City's approval for the lease agreement. We continue our work to make Gary a pet-friendly city and support many low-income residents with affordable pet services. In 2017 we were able to save 244 cats and 13 dogs. 2018 132 cats and 70 dogs. We launched The Gary Pet Food Pantry in February 2018 with one small grant. To date, our pet food pantry has distributed over 128,000 pounds of pet supplies to low-income pet parents in Lake County, Indiana. Cause 4Paws Gary is an all-volunteer organization serving the community where we work and live.

Our mission is to support pet parents in underserved communities with affordable pet services needed to help keep pets and people together and strengthen the animal-human bond. With your help, we can keep programs going that are vital to our community.
Spay/neuter assistance- helps to keep unwanted littering down, and save female pets from pyometra which curbs overpopulation in the community.
Gary Dog Park- Helps to strengthen the animal-human bond, promote healthy socialization, and curb negative behavior caused by anxiety.
The Gary Pet Food Pantry provides temporary pet food support such as dog food, cat food, and cat litter to low-income families in need to help prevent pet surrender
Have-A-Heart is a heartworm testing and treatment program for low-income pet parents whose pets have never been tested for heartworms.
General- Supports costs like truck and storage rental, office supplies, website operation, and postage.
